BOROUGH COUNCIL PLANNING OFFICERS REFUSED PROPOSAL OVER NOISE AND DISTURBANCE FEARS

- By MAIL REPORTER

REJECTED plans for a children’s care home in a village just outside Burton have now been sent to appeal by the developer.

The home would have been located on Orchid Close, in Stapenhill, and would have looked after two children.

Planning officers at East Staffordshire Borough Council refused to grant permission, which would have seen the four bedroom house changed to accommodate two children aged eight to 17 and two carers. It was also planned to convert the garage into a sensory room.

However, planning officers said that the development would adversely affect the residential amenities.
