Boss is buoyant ahead of Huddersfield test
Burton Mail
|September 19, 2025
GARY Bowyer returns Burton Albion to the scene of "one of the best points I've ever won" when the Brewers visit big-spending Huddersfield Town tomorrow (3pm).
It was Bowyer's third game in charge and the point, from a 1-1 draw on December 29, was the first he earned as Burton boss as Albion embarked on a remarkable escape from relegation.
They led from the 13th minute through Charlie Webster against the Terriers that day and were pegged back only by Michal Helik's 88th-minute header.
With the Brewers travelling under a little pressure after not winning since the opening day in League One, Bowyer used the memory to highlight that anything can happen in football.
