Bristol Post
|November 11, 2025
We've all heard of the phrase 'busy fools'. And it's true, sometimes we can find ourselves racing around, thinking we should be getting a badge of honour when really we're achieving very little.
But the real power move is slowing yourself down - so says meditation teacher and business mentor Jo Irving (joirving.com).
The Mindset & Success Coach has shared her top 20 small but transformative shifts to you help you find an inner balance.
"True productivity isn't about doing more - it's about feeling grounded, focused and fulfilled while you do it," she says.
Here are her ready, steady, slow tips...
1. Say no with love - Decline anything that feels like a "should" rather than a soul-led yes.
2. Mono-task - Give one thing your full attention.
3. Create spacious mornings - Start your day without immediately grabbing your phone. A few quiet minutes for intention-setting can reset your nervous system.
