Office space Developers say they'll deliver 'best in class' new facilities

THE last derelict site on the eastern side of Temple Way will finally be redeveloped, if plans for what is described as a 'new major development' get the go-ahead.

The firm behind the plan to build two new state-of-the-art office blocks say they will be the first 'new-build, ground-up starts' in the city for years, and could signal the end of the slowdown in Bristol's post-covid office developments.
Since the pandemic, the building of new office blocks has almost ground to a halt, with empty land at a premium, working from home still common, and developers competing with firms wanting to build student flats instead.
The people behind Distillery 3 and 4 - which will finally fill the empty plots of land on the junction of Temple Way and Avon Street - say there have been no new offices built in Bristol in at least the past two years, and speculative developments like these have largely stopped.
Their plans, which include a new 'urban park, were unveiled in February. The developer has now issued a statement explaining why it is needed, as it awaits a decision on its planning application.
