'It's good to give back' Barbers give out free haircuts to the homeless

AWARD-WINNING barbers from Winterbourne have given out free haircuts to the homeless in Brunswick Square in Bristol.

Callum Waldron, 22, of Winterbourne Cuts set up chairs in the middle of the square and he and his colleague Luke Savage managed to help several rough sleepers, one of which hadn't had a haircut or beard trim in some eight months.

Callum and his team have been offering free haircuts in the street like this for the past six months, on and off.

He told the Post: “We're here to give haircuts to the homeless, raise awareness of the homeless situation in Bristol and just give back to the community.

“We try to get out here as often as we can when we're not busy in the shop. It's what we do in our spare time, basically.

“With the skill that we have, it’s good to give back. We have a skill that helps people, and people here need it. So we want to help.”
