The McLaren driver won the 2025 World Championship by just two points to become the first British F1 champion since Lewis Hamilton in 2020.
Lando was born in Bristol in November 1999 and grew up near Glastonbury in Somerset, going to a local village primary school and then Millfield School in Street.
Since his triumph at the final race of the season at Abu Dhabi in the first weekend of December, a street at the Clarks' Shopping Village in Street has been renamed in his honour, and other acts to recognise his achievement are being planned locally in Somerset.
