BRISTOL City head coach Gerhard Struber admitted the Robins still have plenty to improve on while also seeing things he liked in their 1-0 friendly win over Newport County yesterday afternoon.
The Robins continued their preparations for the upcoming Championship season with victory over League Two side Newport at the High Performance Centre as Elijah Morrison scored with one of the final kicks of the contest.
It had been a game of limited opportunities for the hosts, especially in the first half, before City dominated possession in the second period.
Struber began work at City earlier this month after being appointed as Liam Manning's replacement and has so far overseen work on the training pitch, both in Bristol and out in Portugal, as well as friendly exercises against a local Portuguese second division team and Premier League outfit AFC Bournemouth.
