Football Robins boss expects key man Mehmeti to get even better
Bristol Post
|November 24, 2025
ERHARD Struber made an exciting Anis Mehmeti claim after the winger starred in Bristol City’s win over Swansea City, insisting the still has “space to grow” despite the impressive standard he has sustained this season.
The Robins returned from the November international break in impressive fashion as they ran out 3-0 winners over the Swans at Ashton Gate on Saturday. First-half goals from Rob Dickie and Emil Riis, as well as a late Yu Hirakawa strike, proved enough to keep all three points in the West Country.
Mehmeti, pictured, assisted all three goals, crossing into the path of both Dickie and Riis in the opening period, before threading a perfectly-weighted through ball behind the Swansea backline late on to leave Hirakawa with a routine finish past Lawrence Vigouroux.
With his three assists against the managerless Swans, the 24-year-old has now registered 11 goal involvements in 16 Championship matches this season. Although he is arguably playing his best ever football in red and white, Struber still feels he can - and has the drive to - get even better.
