Football Knight playing it cool over Premier League rumours after standout campaign
Bristol Post
|June 05, 2025
JASON Knight has again reinforced his desire to play Premier League football whilst on international duty with Ireland, but the Bristol City skipper insists he is both “relaxed” about his future and unaware of any interest in his signature.
The 24-year-old was an everpresent for the Robins this season, starting all 50 matches Liam Manning's side played in all competitions whilst also captaining City to their first top six finish in almost two decades.
Since making the move to Ashton Gate from Derby County in the summer of 2023, when he put pen to paper on a four-year contract with the Reds, Knight has been a fan favourite. This term he won both the Player's Player of the Season and Supporters Player of the Season awards having chipped in with three goals and six assists.
Knight's impressive performances in red and white have unsurprisingly seen some link him with a move to the Premier League this summer. Although the 24-year-old has made no secret of his ambition to test himself at the highest level, he is insistent that he is enjoying himself in the West Country.
