Football Gas aim to bounce back against Tranmere

BRISTOL Rovers head coach Darrell Clarke will be looking to put last Saturday’s “shocking” 4-0 home defeat to MK Dons firmly behind him and his team when they welcome Tranmere Rovers to the Memorial Stadium tomorrow afternoon.

Last time out, the Gas were simply not at the races, conceding an early opening goal after just eight minutes in front of their home fans. Alex Gilbey’s low ball into the box found its way into the net via a touch from the Pirates skipper Alfie Kilgour.

The Dons took until the 83rd minute to double their lead through Laurence Maguire but as Rovers then chased the game, the floodgates opened as Gibley tucked home a third in the 90th minute before a quick break saw substitute Rushian Hepburn-Murphy get the fourth in the third minute of stoppage time.
