Bristol jokes in Latin

DR Evan Jones, Associate Professor of Economic History at Bristol Uni deserves some sort of civic award for all the sterling work that he and the Bristol Record Society (BRS) have been doing to make so much material available to the general public by digitising old images, documents and publications.

If your interest in local history is anything more than casual, and you've not looked at the BRS website yet, then we strongly suggest you do so. Some of this stuff is very recondite indeed, but you're bound to find a few things that will absorb your attention.

Dr Jones' latest offering is something very lighthearted. He's found some jokes on the famous map that James Millerd made of Bristol in 1673.
