Big hitters fire Bedminster through to T20 play-off

TEWKESBURY defeated Frocester and then hosts Chipping Sodbury to book their place in WEPL's finals day and keep alive hopes of qualifying for the first national round of the ECB's Club T20.
Also through are Potterne and Swindon, while Bedminster and Midsomer Norton both won their pools but will now play off against each other, on a date to be announced, for the last place at finals day, on July 13.
Bedminster displayed tremendous firepower to qualify for this play-off, with Shay Sainsbury thumping an unbeaten 74 from only 23 balls (five fours, eight sixes) in a 10-wicket humbling of Bristol West Indian Phoenix.
Jack Henderson followed up with 111 from 60 (eight fours, nine sixes) in a two-run pool final defeat of Bristol.
Bristol reached this group final thanks to an 82-run success over Twyford House which included a remarkable 127 off 54 balls by Tommy Probert (15 fours, seven sixes).
The venue for WEPL finals day will be announced after the Bedminster-Midsomer Norton play-off.
