The Japanese forward converted from close range deep in first-half stoppage-time to condemn Gerhard Struber’s side to their first home defeat in three matches and their third loss in BS3 this campaign.

Having come close to the opener in the early exchanges, the 29-year-old drifted into space inside the Robins’ box to easily turn home a low cross from the right side of the penalty area.

Defeat in south Bristol leaves City sitting seventh in the Championship with one more game to be played before the November international break gets underway.
