Old Market venue is throwing a week-long celebration

Assembly is turning 10

OLD Market Assembly is an award-winning, independent restaurant with an enviable drinks list, a sun-drenched roof terrace, a state-of-the-art stage and sound system for music and performance events, and home to The Wardrobe Theatre.

Whether you're sharing drinks with friends, tucking into a full Sunday Roast, or going to a late-night gig, the venue is always welcoming, inclusive and fun.

The concept for an independent venue celebrating great food, live performance, and community spirit came from founders of The Assemblies, Matt Pike, Jamie Pike, George Ferguson, and Oli Wells, who first brought this idea to fruition by establishing beloved venues The Canteen in 2009 and No.1 Harbourside in 2010.

James Dingle and Gary Derham joined The Assemblies in 2013, and when they came across a derelict building in Old Market 10 years ago, they recognised the perfect opportunity for their next project.
