A BUSY swing bridge in the centre of Bristol which needs repairs could get stuck open blocking traffic.

Prince Street Bridge runs from the back of the Arnolfini to near the M Shed and is used by thousands of people walking and cycling into town every day.

Bristol City Council is planning to carry out repairs to the bridge, which is a major crossing point over the harbour between Bristol Bridge and the Cumberland Basin Swing Bridge. Repairs are needed on the mechanism which allows the bridge to swing open, letting boats to pass through.
