MUSIC LOVERS PROMISED 'UNIQUE AND FRIENDLY ATMOSPHERE' AT UNDERCOVER'S NEW HOME

- By MARTIN NEAL

DESPITE a number of other festivals being called off up and down the country this summer, there’s no need for fans attending Essex’s newest live music weekender to worry.

The issues festival organisers are currently faced with are well documented, with the plug being pulled on a number of popular events. Sign of the Times and Stone Valley South in Hertfordshire are among the most recent festivals to go the journey while once again Standon Calling won't be happening this summer.

But the organiser of Undercover Festival (South Essex), which takes place in the grounds of Battlesbridge Antiques Centre on September 26-27 for the first time, has assured fans their weekend of live music is safe.

Organiser Mick Moriarty said: “Another week and more sad announcements of another festival going under, this is another sad day for all involved working on the fests, bands as well as ticket holders.
