Magic moments that are like music to my ear

- by Roy Edmonds

There are always some magic moments in life, just waiting to lift your spirits, gladden the heart, as the colder seasons move in.

I'm not talking about the extraordinary, but more everyday things. Even now, with autumn, there is the joy of trees’ golden or orange foliage, of leaves, too, when fallen and whipped up in a breeze; or the cool, still air that carries those musky seasonal aromas. If wrapped up in warm clothing, then it's a pleasure to walk out and savour it all.

It's at this time, too, we spend more time at home; perhaps thinking of old friends, or past events which come to mind as we put up our feet and possibly read a story, or hear some music that prompts memories.
