Psychos and Mother Superiors share stage over 50 Grand years

Moving through the alphabet of star actors on the Blackpool stage we come to Irene Vanbrugh (Irene Barnes, 1872-1949, DBE 1941).

Dame Irene died only three weeks after starring at the Grand Theatre in November, 1949, while on tour in a new drama titled Mary Bonaventure, by Charlotte Hastings.
She was playing the role of a Mother Superior of a convent in which a convicted murderess and her police escort had taken shelter from floods.
