What strikes me in the changing rooms, and elsewhere come to that, is how loud and noisy many younger people are nowadays. Is it because they're often occupied on mobile phone conversations or, otherwise, have music hearing devices plugged in? Their 'language', too, is rather jumbled, although swear words come through clearly enough.

When actually talking to them, they usually turn out to be nice, eager and even interested in older folk's views and tales (unless that's just politeness). It brings refreshing hope for the future.
