Holocaust violin repaired on TV to honour late wife

A Blackpool man has shared a powerful family story on the latest episode of the BBC's The Repair Shop, where a violin with an extraordinary Holocaust past was brought back to life in honour of his late wife.
Peter arrived at the barn carrying the damaged violin once owned by his late wife Margaret Gibon’s grandfather, Sigmund Feitl, a talented Jewish musician from Vienna.
During the Second World War, Sigmund and his instrument were taken to Theresienstadt, the concentration camp the Nazis used as a misleading showcase for international inspectors.
