Cleaning up Blackpool - one street at a time

This summer I took my Beyond the Prom tour across Blackpool South. From Marton to Revoe, Brunswick to Park, to Squires Gate and beyond, I walked the streets with residents and community partners to see what needed sorting - and we got things done.

One of the strongest parts of this tour was working with Enveco, our local environmental team. We spotted problems from fly-tipping to dog fouling and overgrown weeds and they cleared them.

In Brunswick, we tackled an alleyway behind Fairhurst Street and Butler Street that was in a terrible state with everything from broken furniture to general waste.

Enveco cleared it all, swept the alley and removed the weeds.

Over on Gorton Street, we dealt with waste piled up in gardens, bins blocking pavements and rubbish dumped behind a local nursery - all now cleared.
