Weapons dealer claimed profits were to pay for his phone bill

A WEAPONS dealer who sold 'shanks' on Telegram and TikTok has been jailed.

Mohammed Mustiqim was slammed for supplying 'evil' items which are the 'scourge of society'.
The 20-year-old advertised 'zombie' and 'Rambo' knives as well as knuckledusters and Tasers on social media.
He claimed he was just trying to make enough money to pay his £81 monthly phone bill but in reality he made way more than that.
Mustiqim, of Common Lane, Washwood Heath, admitted two charges of publishing material suggesting knives were suitable for combat, two counts of offering offensive weapons for sale or hire and three offences of possessing offensive weapons in a private place.
At Birmingham Crown Court he was sentenced to 16 months detention at a young offenders' institute.
