'Starstruck' Morrison puts legend in picture

CLINTON Morrison admits he was 'starstruck' as he asked for a photograph with Blues minority investor and NFL legend Tom Brady after the Vertu Trophy final defeat to Peterborough at Wembley.

Brady joined Blues chairman Tom Wagner in flying over from the US to attend Sunday's showpiece in London and he posed for photos with supporters and held an interview pitchside with Sky Sports before kick-off.

Morrison, who played for Blues between 2002 and 2005, scoring 16 goals in 97 appearances, was also at the game and took his opportunity to greet Brady, who admitted the class of 2025 could have done with Morrison’s shooting boots on the pitch.

"I had a picture," said Morrison. "I looked at him... wow, he’s a big old unit. That was the first time I was a bit starstruck. I couldn’t ask him for the picture, I had to ask one of his security guys. He was with a group of people, but I went over and he said, 'no problem'.
