Sex abuse victim was 'manipulated into staying silent'

A YOUNG girl who was sexually abused from the age of 12 said she felt "scared and manipulated into silence".
She said she continues to "struggle with the consequences" of what happened to her at the hands of James Fletcher, who was recently jailed for five years.
The girl bravely told a court how Fletcher's abuse had "lasting effects on her life and mental health" as the trauma affected her every day.
A woman targeted by Fletcher also spoke out and said she now felt she could "sleep safe" knowing the 77-year-old was behind bars and was not able to cause pain or misery again".
