Prolific burglar told he's 'too old for this'

A PROLIFIC burglar in his 50s was told by his own solicitor he was 'too old for this' after being caught stealing vacuums.

Neil Millichamp broke into a home in Sutton Coldfield left unoccupied by an elderly woman who later died.

He rummaged through drawers in several rooms and even scattered her underwear across the floor before stealing three vacuums.

He was identified after leaving blood at the scene.

Millichamp, 51, of Blithfield Grove, Erdington, admitted burglary and two counts of possessing an offensive weapon in a private place after knuckledusters and an extendable baton were found at his HMO.

He was sentenced to two years and five months, at Birmingham Crown Court.
