A BURGLARY gang who plotted in a Birmingham coffee shop during a £1 million crime rampage were caught thanks to footprints from Primark trainers.

The gang - five Albanian men living in Birmingham, Walsall and Sheffield - carried out some 44 break-ins in a yearlong reign of terror.

They used ladders to access first floor windows and balconies. Once inside they ransacked properties and stole jewellery, designer handbags, watches and cash.

The gang comprised Kristian Gropcaj, 30, of Gas Street, in Birmingham; Endrit Nikolli, 27, George Lleshaj, 31, Krisjian Dedndreaj, 28, all of Crabtree Road, in Walsall; and Sidorjan Lleshi, 26, of Durlstone Drive, Sheffield.

Jade Tubb, 33, of Crabtree Road, Walsall, who was in a relationship with Nikolli, was pursued for spending the proceeds of their crimes.

The gang carried out burglaries far and wide, with seven in Staffordshire, nine in West Mercia and two in the Warwickshire force areas.

There were also nine in Derbyshire, eight in Cheshire, five in Nottinghamshire, two in Leicestershire and two in Cleveland.
