Ollie and Morgan get goal boost in victory

Morgan Rogers celebrates opening the scoring for England at Wembley

The German head coach sparked debate by leaving out star names such as Jude Bellingham and Phil Foden to stick with the squad that ended September's camp with a five-star display in Belgrade.

Tuchel's decision paid dividends as England started where they left off in Serbia, with goals from Villa’s Morgan Rogers, Ollie Watkins before Saka’s third meaning Wales were down for the count just 20 minutes into Thursday's Wembley friendly.

Craig Bellamy said in the buildup that a boxing promoter would not match the team fourth in FIFA’s world rankings against his 30th-placed side and Watkins should have added a fourth before halftime.

The striker, who started with skipper Harry Kane out injured, collided with a post as he attempted to score and had to be replaced at the break.
