AN e-scooter rider was arrested after crashing into a police officer in Birmingham.

The injured officer is attended to after being hit by an e-scooter rider
The Pc, from the West Midlands Police Guardian Taskforce, had tried to stop the teenage rider, who was using the machine illegally, but suffered a broken knee on Northfield High Street on Thursday.
An 18-year-old, from Longbridge, was held on suspicion of wounding, dangerous driving and failing to stop for officers.
