Girl, 13, told 'kill yourself' by pupil she later stabbed, court is told

A TEENAGE girl who was stabbed in the neck by a fellow pupil at a Birmingham school admitted she had previously told her attacker to 'kill herself' in a Snapchat group, a court heard.

The victim told a jury she was aware the defendant, then aged 13, was in a relationship with another girl.

She said she did not 'support' it, but added it was 'their choice'.

But she accepted she told the defendant's partner she 'could do better, just leave her,' amid an allegation the defendant had been unfaithful.

The defendant, now 14, is on trial at Birmingham Crown Court denying a charge of attempted murder as well as an alternative of wounding with intent.

The jury has been told there is 'no dispute' she stabbed the victim on school premises but the main issue for them to decide was her intent at the time.

Neither the defendant nor the victim can be identified due to their age.
