CRIME QUEEN
Birmingham Mail
|April 28, 2025
DAME Angela Lansbury was no stranger to the world of whodunnits before Murder, She Wrote.
She appeared in the 1978 movie version of Agatha Christie’s Death On The Nile before going on to play Christie’s amateur sleuth Miss Marple in the 1980 film The Mirror Crack’d alongside an all-star cast that included Dame Elizabeth Taylor, Rock Hudson, Tony Curtis and Edward Fox.
There had been hopes of two other Miss Marple films but when they did not happen, Angela went on to find TV fame as a more modern crime-solver.
