VENUE NEEDS TO ATTRACT BUSINESS

Moseley Cricket Club in Shirley
A SHIRLEY cricket club is now able to sell alcohol for longer after settling a dispute with Solihull Council out of court.
The club pushed for the change saying it was needed to compete against other licensed venues “on a level playing field”.
As the Local Democracy Reporting Service previously reported licensing bosses at the authority considered Moseley Cricket Club’s licence at a hearing a year ago.
The club originally applied for permission to sell alcohol between 11am and 2am Friday and Saturdays.
