Crash schoolboy 'full of potential'

GRIEVING friends and family of a Midland schoolboy killed in a motorbike crash have paid tribute to the “funny kind and thoughtful” teenager.

The 15-year-old, named in tributes as Layton Cole, was killed in a collision between a white Honda 125 motorbike and a white BMW X5 car in Redditch.

It happened at the junction of Studley Road and Howard Road on the Park Farm Industrial Estate, at around 11.35am on Monday.

West Mercia Police said three people were riding the bike.

Yesterday morning a growing collection of tributes were left to the victim.

A framed picture of the youngster stood front and centre, along with bright orange and red flowers

A brown teddy was left under a row of large pastel blue Hydrangeas, which stood out from the collection.

Burnt tea lights and candles also sat at the foot of the tributes, with one resident reporting she saw around 20 school children with flowers on Tuesday evening.
