MORECAMBE v MOORS MAZUMA MOBILE STADIUM, TODAY, 3PM
Moors boss Chris Millington and, inset, skipper Jamey Osborne who is ruled out today
CHRIS Millington insists Solihull Moors will not be lulled by opponents Morecambe’s lowly position as they bid to return to winning ways today.
Having faced title-chasers Carlisle United and Rochdale in the past two games - Scott High scoring an injury-time leveller in the former and conceding a 94th-minute decider in midweek to the latter - Moors now head to relegation-battling Morecambe for their first-ever league trip to the Mazuma Mobile Stadium.
The Shrimps, rescued from the brink of oblivion at the start of the season, sit second from bottom in the National League table but continue to be busy in the transfer market.
Former Blues captain Harlee Dean, who played 200 times for Blues in five years at St Andrew's, signed this week for Ashvir Singh Johal’s side, and Leicester City’s Wales U21 international striker Chris Popov followed on loan.
Morecambe have quality and quantity, with 32 players in the squad, stressed Millington.
“They're a funny side, Morecambe. In terms of the squad, it’s a huge squad with real depth and quality individually,’ he said.
