PEOPLE from across the West Midlands have been paying tribute to Brummie legend Ozzy Osbourne.

The Black Sabbath rocker will forever be remembered as the lad from Aston who helped forge the heavy meatal scene, but never forgot his roots. Indeed, he returned to Aston to play his final gig - Back to the Beginning at Villa Park just weeks ago.

Within hours of his family confirming his death on Tuesday after a brave fight with Parkinson's disease, tributes were pouring in. The Birmingham Mail will be sharing these with Ozzy's wife, Sharon, and their children family so they can see how deeply the ‘Prince of Darkness’ touched the city.
