Voters favour Gen X tycoon as next PM
Bangkok Post
|September 01, 2025
A recent survey by the National Institute of Development Administration (Nida) Poll shows most voters prefer a businessman or woman and a Gen X member as the next prime minister in the upcoming general election.
The telephone survey, conducted on Aug 25-26 on 1,310 eligible voters nationwide, explored public attitudes towards potential leaders.
Using the Master Sample database and multistage random sampling, Nida says its poll carries a 5% margin of error and a 97% confidence level.
When asked about the preferred background of the next prime minister, 32.44% of respondents favoured a businessman from a large-scale enterprise.
