Audemars Piguet celebrates 150 years with perpetual calendar models

In February, Audemars Piguet unveiled ergonomic perpetual calendars featuring the new Calibre 7138 and innovative All-In-One crown during its 150th anniversary celebrations, held in Le Brassus.

The upgrade began in Royal Oak and Code 11.59 by Audemars Piguet with a diameter of 41mm. The sequel, launched this month in Hong Kong, shows how the poetic complication can equally work magic in a smaller 38mm case.

Besides introducing the novelties, the independent watchmaker relocated The House Of Wonders to the promenade of the K11 Musea, as a part of the ongoing 150th anniversary celebrations.

The imposing pop up is a reimagination of its oldest building in Le Brassus, where the company was established in 1875. Perched on the roof, a chamois whimsically represents the fauna of Switzerland's Vallée de Joux, regarded as the cradle of complications.

Since its early years, Audemars Piguet has been inspired by the valley's night sky in creating Quantième Perpétuel (QP) — French for perpetual calendar.
