Thailand kick-started their Asean U23 Championship (Mandiri Cup) campaign with an impressive 4-0 win over Timor Leste at Patriot Stadium in Jakarta, Indonesia, on Saturday night.
Goals from Yotsakorn Burapha, Thanawut Phochai, Seksan Ratree and Chawanwit Sealao earned the Thais a commanding win to move into the top spot in the Group C standings.
Only the group winners are guaranteed to advance to the next round, and Thailand put on a dominant performance against Simon Elissetche’s side ahead of their match against Myanmar tomorrow.
