Thai nationals in Nepal, Qatar 'safe'

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has confirmed that around 100 Thai nationals in Nepal remain safe despite the recent unrest in the country.
Ministry spokesman and Department of Information director-general, Nikorndej Balankura, said in a statement that since the protests broke out in the South Asian country, the Royal Thai Embassy in Kathmandu has been closely monitoring developments and issuing regular advisories to Thai citizens living there.
Currently, about 100 Thai nationals reside in Nepal, both temporarily and permanently, and all have been confirmed safe. The embassy is maintaining constant contact with them.
