TCG to help self-employed to purchase properties

The Thai Credit Guarantee Corporation (TCG) has pledged to provide loan guarantees for self-employed individuals such as YouTubers seeking to purchase properties.
This initiative aims to address the high loan rejection rate, which is hovering around 40%, said TCG president Sittikorn Direksoonthorn.
TCG has been in discussions with the Housing Business Association to explore ways to support small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in acquiring commercial properties such as shophouses and commercial buildings for use as business premises, said Mr Sittikorn.
He said the discussions focused on addressing challenges faced by SMEs in accessing commercial property loans for business use through TCG's credit guarantee mechanism. The mechanism would give financial institutions more confidence in extending loans, thereby increasing the approval rate for SMEs seeking to purchase commercial properties, said Mr Sittikorn.
