Police raid nets illegal surgical implants

Police seized more than 14,000 illegal silicone surgical implants from a warehouse in Bangkok that was selling them online and to numerous plastic surgery clinics.
The seizure was prompted by a complaint from the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) that medical products used in cosmetic surgery were being sold illegally online, Pol Lt Gen Jirabhop Bhuridej, commander of the Central Investigation Bureau (CIB), said yesterday.
