It is a true honour to deliver this message on behalf of the Government and people of the Republic of Guatemala to the esteemed people of the Kingdom of Thailand and the readers of the Bangkok Post, on the occasion of the commemoration of the 204" anniversary of the Independence of our beloved nation.

On this meaningful occasion, we proudly celebrate more than two centuries of sovereignty, resilience, and national identity. Guatemala, an ancestral and multicultural land, presents itself to the world as the Heart of the Mayan World, a nation where the legacy of one of the most emblematic civilisations of humanity remains alive, vibrant, and full of wisdom.

Representing Guatemala in the Kingdom of Thailand is a privilege that fills me with deep pride and gratitude. Our diplomatic relations, formally established on March 7, 1957, have flourished for over six decades, built on mutual respect, shared values, and the common aspiration to build a brighter and more equitable future for our peoples.
