NACC targets former MP over landholding

The National Anti-Corruption Commission (NACC) had filed an ethics complaint against former Palang Pracharath MP, Pol Lt Col Waipot Apornrat, over unlawful possession of state agricultural reform land.
NACC secretary-general and spokesman, Saroj Phuengrampan, said yesterday the commission found sufficient grounds to accuse Pol Lt Col Waipot of breaching serious ethical standards while serving in parliament.
The case involves land measuring 352 square-metres in tambon Pho Thong, Pang Sila Thong district, Kamphaeng Phet.
The land was designated under the Agricultural Land Reform Act for farmers’ use.
