Joint effort offers quality pork on the cheap

The Department of Internal Trade (DIT), in collaboration with the Swine Raisers Association of Thailand (SRA), is easing the cost of living for consumers by selling quality pork at a special price of 100 baht for 2 kilogrammes nationwide throughout October.
Consumers queue up to purchase low-cost pork at a Blue Flag fair.
Yanee Srimanee, deputy director-general of the DIT, said the campaign aims to rebalance pork demand and supply in the market, following a decline in farmgate pig prices.
