‘Gun’ vows foundation transparency

Social activist Guntouch Pongpaiboon-wet, better known as Gun Jompalang, has pledged full transparency in managing the “Gun Jompalang Chuai Su” Foundation, announcing that he will personally assume the chairmanship to ensure greater accountability.
At a press conference yesterday, Guntouch addressed public concerns regarding alleged money laundering and clarified the foundation's financial operations. He was joined by Kanchana Sathaworn, the foundation’s president, and its auditor.
Ms Kanchana said the foundation was registered with a capital of 500,000 baht, entirely funded by Guntouch and his friends. The foundation currently holds around 90 million baht, with cumulative revenue of 207 million baht and expenses of 117 million baht. She stressed that all donations were collected after the foundation's official registration.
