The Industrial Estate Authority of Thailand (IEAT) has become the latest agency affected by the dissolution of the House, forcing a delay in a multi-million-baht project to establish a new industrial estate tailored for South Korean investors.
Rongrit Kusonlakumbot, deputy governor of the IEAT, confirmed the authority must postpone signing a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with South Korea's state enterprise and a Thai private firm.
The project, planned for the Eastern Economic Corridor (EEC), was originally scheduled to move forward under the four-month administration of Prime Minister Anutin Charnvirakul, scheduled to end in January 2026.
However, the premier's decision to dissolve the House in mid-December 2025 halted progress.
