Charter bill ‘likely’ to pass 2nd reading, senator says

Senator Norasate Prachyakorn, spokesman for the parliamentary committee vetting the constitutional amendment bill, has expressed confidence it will clear its second reading, though some technical vetting of wording by parliament’s secretariat is still underway.
A tentative final draft has been forwarded through administrative channels to the Senate ahead of the special joint sitting of the Upper and Lower Houses, which will be held to further deliberate the bill.
