Cambodians ordered to vacate forest reserve land
Bangkok Post
|September 29, 2025
The Royal Forest Department has posted trilingual notices ordering Cambodian nationals to vacate forest reserve land in Sa Kaeo’s Khok Sung district within 15 days.
The signs were erected in the Nong Chan-Nong Ya Kaeo area after forestry officials filed a complaint with Khok Sung police on Thursday seeking legal action against illegal occupants of forest land.
Those who stay after the 15-day deadline will face arrest under the Forest Act, which carries penalties of up to 15 years in prison and a fine of 100,000 baht.
