Cambodian rockets hit civilian areas

At least 40 homes destroyed in Sa Kaeo

Clashes along the Thai-Cambodian border continued for a 16th consecutive day yesterday, with the Thai army reporting that Cambodian forces fired nearly 200 BM-21 rockets into Sa Kaeo province, striking multiple civilian areas and causing significant damage and injuries.

According to military officials, rocket and artillery fire hit three major combat zones in Sa Kaeo, destroying at least 40 homes and injuring more than seven civilians.

Agricultural land across seven areas totalling more than 5,800 rai was also damaged. The First Army Region said 51 locations were affected by the shelling.
