Government wants to leave its mark

- PHUSADEE ARUNMAS

The government plans to include a proposal from the Thai Chamber of Commerce in the economic policy statement it presents to parliament, says Prime Minister Anutin Charnvirakul.

Speaking after a meeting with the Thai chamber, Mr Anutin said designated economic ministers had discussions with the chamber on urgent strategies to drive Thailand's economy, including funding, household debt, interest rates, energy costs, labour, logistics, and future opportunities for the nation.

He said the government will gather and integrate all proposals from the private sector into government economic policy and accelerate initiatives that will bolster the economy in the near term.

“I don’t care whose policy it is, or where it comes from. If it benefits the nation and the public, I will make it happen. For the four months when our government leads the country, I guarantee our economy will not regress,” said Mr Anutin.
