Man, 42, pronounced dead at the scene
-
"Officers are carrying out several lines of enquiry and there will be a continued visible police presence in the area.
An Ayrshire community has been left in a "deeply distressing and worrying situation" after the second serious incident in a matter of weeks.
Police were called to Glenmuir Place in Ayr at around 8.10pm on Saturday, July 5 after a 42-year-old man was found seriously injured.
Shortly after, he was later pronounced dead at the scene and police are treating the death as suspicious.
The incident comes just two and a half weeks after a 39-year-old man was found injured on nearby Braeside Road in the Whitletts area of the town.
